LEAVE A LEGACY
“The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.”
Wanting to leave a legacy for my children (and beyond) was where it began, but soon turned into realizing this word “Legacy” was so much more than money or financial security…while that’s an amazing part of it, I soon saw, it’s something more.
Something that can pave the way to demonstrate HEART and GENEROSITY. KINDNESS and JOY. COURAGE and STRENGTH…something that creates an atmosphere of CLARITY for what really matters in life to ALL we come in contact with! Our kids, our spouse, our friends, our families, our neighbors, our business partners…the reach of LEGACY is so much more than we can comprehend!
FAMILY
“Legacy is not leaving something for people, it’s leaving something in people."
Family is EVERYTHING! Being home with mine is what is most important to me…but I was also desiring personal fulfillment on another level. Now I get the best of both worlds! I get to be at home with my children, spend endless time with my husband (who happens to be my best friend) and be a business owner which provides an incredible income for my family. Not just something that matters for us in the moment, but for a LIFETIME. This also means showing my family what is possible in life. How to go after our dreams, our goals, our passions…this is what matters to me!
I believe knowing you are working towards LEAVING A LEGACY means encompassing all of those things into our intentions and our goals and then the question becomes, not what we see for ourselves, but what we see BEYOND ourselves
Glorify God
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
I know it may seem more of the norm to keep the business stuff separate from our faith…but this is something that I just cannot separate. God is so faithful and no matter the circumstances I KNOW THAT HE IS GOOD and I simply want to give Him the glory in ALL THE THINGS!
I am FAR from perfect, full of flaws, make mistakes EVERY. SINGLE. DAY...all the while HE is overflowing with MERCY. HE is the giver of GRACE. HE is full of FORGIVENESS! And I know, that I know, THAT I KNOW, that He is the reason for every single blessing in my life. I know that all good things come from Him. I know that He has carried me through the ALL the tough times and REJOICES with me in the great times. I know that without Him, I am incomplete. For these reasons and so many more…HE GETS THE GLORY!
I will definitely never try and push “religion” on ANYONE but I do want everyone to know that they are LOVED. They are CARED FOR. They are SEEN. You, reading this…YOU ARE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE THINGS!
Never give up
“The secret to success is simply to NEVER, EVER, EVER give up” .
If there is one thing I’ve learned over the years in business is to NEVER GIVE UP! I have literally FAILED MY WAY TO SUCCESS but only because I NEVER stopped and chose to stay COMMITTED to succeeding! Trust me…there were days that were tougher than others. Days I was tired and thought “am I really gonna be able to make this happen”…but the moments that would happen I simply refused to let those thoughts hang out very long. NOT. WELCOME. HERE.
Celebrating the seemingly small victories helps keep the “never give up” attitude going full speed ahead! Did you hit one goal on your list?! CELEBRATE THAT! You are one step closer to the top of that mountain! If you feel like you went 5 moves forward and then 4 moves back…CELEBRATE THAT! Thankfulness and gratitude go a long way when talking about how to run the race–and run it well!
Believe big
You are worth it.
This isn’t just a cheesy mantra or cliché bumper sticker…THIS IS EVERYTHING! Without the foundation of BELIEF in yourself for MORE, it makes it much harder for anyone else to believe in that for you either.
YOU are the one who sets that atmosphere. YOU are the one who controls that self-encouragement. YOU are the one that decides whether or not you are worthy of big belief in yourself…and trust me, YOU ARE WORTH IT! So instead of looking at anyone else today for words affirming what YOU CAN DO…let me challenge us all to take even 30 seconds today and look ourselves in the mirror and encourage OURSELVES! Seems silly, I know…but I DARE YOU TO TRY IT!
Inspire greatness
“If we cannot see the possibility of greatness, how can we dream it?”
The word inspire has two definitions in the dictionary. The first is: to fill someone with the urge or ability to do or feel something. Love this definition! We know that as leaders and as friends and as moms…encouragement goes a long way! But did you know that the second definition of INSPIRE is? .
“To breathe in; inhale; or to blow into”

How cool is that?! To think that when we are intentional on INSPIRING GREATNESS, we are actually BREATHING IN and giving LIFE to something! Without the inhale FIRST…there can be no exhale. Without the deep breath of TAKING IN WHAT WE ARE CAPABLE OF, the reaction is non-existent. Inhaling is also something we have to do…all day long! So that begs the question, if you are feeling “uninspired” what have you been breathing in throughout the day? Are you taking in encouraging podcasts, uplifting music or maybe a strategic audiobook? Or are you allowing your day-to-day moments to be filled with drama and celeb gossip, deflating music, or, yikes…people who DON’T GIVE YOU LIFE?! I think it’s powerful to really take a good hard look at how we spend our time and know that what we surround ourselves with and what we take in (inhale)…MATTERS! .
This phrase is more than just motivational words or showing someone how to achieve big things…it is a term that I believe breathes life into WHO YOU WERE CREATED TO BE! I think we were all created for GREATNESS! That can look totally different for everyone, but whatever your dreams, your goals, your aspirations…INHALE the things that remind you of what you’re capable of EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
